Breastfeeding Preparation Workshop (3.5hours)

Creacon Wellness Retreat Sat 2pm-5.30pm
Each ticket admits two people - one pregnant person and one support person. The class is fun and interactive and has a maximum of 8 women/ pairs. It will leave feeling confident, and with lots of new information to support a successful breastfeeding journey. Included in the class are handouts and a refreshment break mid-class where attendees can chat or take a short walk in the venue garden.
Highlights of the class:
- Basics of how breastfeeding works
- Latch and positioning
- Common pitfalls and solutions
- Understanding newborn behaviour
Hosted by Germaine Creevy, Cuidiú trained and Fedant registered to teach antenatal classes. Antenatal Ireland educators undergo continuous educations to maintain their license to practice and for quality assurance. In addition to this, Germaine is a trained birth & postpartum doula (DONA), holistic and Ayurvedic massage therapist & a baby massage instructor. As class is not facilitated by a health care professional/ midwife which may be relevant if seeking health insurance reimbursements for this class.

Directions Wheelchair accessible, with easy parking, Creacon Wellness Retreat is located near the Rose Fitzgerald Bridge in New Ross just 25mins from Waterford city and 30mins from Wexford town.
Cancellation Policy Cancellation notice received 2 weeks prior to the class date will result in a full refund of your payment. Cancellations after this time results in no refund of fees.
